Stila BB Cream mini splurge!

If you live in Canada and are in the market for a new BB Cream I would definitely recommend heading over to Shoppers for the Stila stay all day 10 in 1 HD beauty balm on sale for $35!

Now I don't really need this because I'm still loving my Dior Hydralife...but I couldn't resist the sale and I know I'll get some good use out of a lighter than light coverage during the summer. I will definitely be taking this to Vegas!

I wouldn't necessarily consider this a must have, but if you like barely there coverage, or like the idea of paraben free products with added skin benefits in a foundation then I think for the price you're getting good value. FOTD & Cheap Thrills

I got off early from work today (woohoo!). It's funny that I don't even know what to do with myself on a Friday night anymore since I always work them! I did get lots of compliments on my makeup today for some reason so I figured I would share the look. The only major difference is that I used UD Toasted all over my lid, which is such a pretty bronzed taupe colour, and NARS Orgasm blush. I forgot how much I used to love Orgasm, it really brightens up your complexion and doubles as a highlight.

So I mentioned before that I am planning a girls trip to Las Vegas, so excited! But my wallet needs to be chained up and locked away so that I can actually enjoy myself while I'm there. I needed a new beach cover up for the trip so I picked up this really cute tie up printed shawl/cardigan top from Urban Outfitters. I also couldn't resist this holographic sparkle nail polish which was 2 for $8 so I also got a creamy off white shade. 

Also, I had to celebrate getting an A on my midterm so when I saw that the Real Techniques Face brush was in stock I thought it would be the perfect treat! I used it today with my NARS Sheer Glow and it blended flawlessly! I can see why this brush gets a lot of hype.

I desperately need to start shopping for summer attire but right now I'm saving up every penny for Vegas. Go big or go home is my mentality... definitely looking forward to a couple splurges or two! 

GUERLAIN L'or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold

I am so thankful for that fateful day where I impulsively decided to dive into the world of Guerlain (if you missed my haul you can view it here).  Guerlain absolutely epitomizes luxury beauty and and they definitely have mastered the art of makeup seduction. While I truly love and highly recommend the Terracotta mosaic bronzer and meteorites, I'll be honest in that my favourite product -that I have literally used every day since I got it -has been the L'or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold Make-up Base.

So the L'or is meant to be a primer, which is hydrating enough to be used in place of a moisturizer for oilier girls, but I still like using my Josie Maran Argan Oil underneath. I feel like the 24karat gold flecks are more of a marketing tactic (but apparently gold promotes cell regeneration), but this gel fills in your pores and fine lines and leaves your skin smooth, hydrated and ready for makeup. Unlike many silicone based primers I've tried which sit on top of your skin, this I love that this sinks right in without feeling like a mask, but my makeup still applies very smooth. This throws my Laura Mercier primer out the window, but at a $70 price point I'm not sure if I would consider this a must have.

And let me say...the packaging is to die for! I love the suspended gold flecks in a sleek glass bottle with a gold lid casing. Guerlain sure knows how to present a product in the most beautiful and elegant way.

So at the end of the day are there primers that probably do the same job for a better price? Most likely yes! But you won't get the same luxurious experience that you get with the L'or. I am a huge fan, and will probably purchase the full size at some point in the future! Call me a sucker!
