Vanity Table Lusting

I've decided that I must own a vanity desk. That way when I have my makeup scattered on the table, it's at least in a designated spot.

Right now everything is currently stored in an old dresser and I hate it. All my makeup (and clothes and purses) end up on my school/work desk which is such a disaster. I would cue in a picture but I am too embarrassed to take one and show it to the world.

Oh why can't I keep things stored away and organized?

So I'm officially on the hunt for the perfect vanity set up. I've been internet surfing and here's a little inspiration for now. I'm thinking modern hollywood glamour.

Mirrored vanities are always a classic option. But I also love the architectural aspect of the table below. I kind of like the idea of no drawers, except it isn't very practical...hmm..

I'll eventually find something. Even if I end up at Ikea.

Ins and Outs: September edition

Haven't posted one of these in a while and they are my favorite to read on other blogs.

Anyway here it goes:

IN:
+ Vega Sport Pre-Workout Energizer. I've been addicted to this stuff since the beginning of summer. I drink a glass full every morning before I leave for work and it really increases your energy and mental focus. I've tried the regular Vega stuff and it tastes like asshole ...boo. Only downside that a tub is just over 50$ and only lasts you a month.

+ Non Traditional French Manicures. I've posted here about a glitter manicure I did and loved. I've also been rocking black tip frenchies lately too. I just think it's a classy and edgy twist to the classic french tip.

+ My Makeup Stash. I think I'm hitting a plateau or something because I haven't been craving any new products lately. I've been quite content rotating through the makeup I own. Wow isn't that a rare feeling to experience?! Great for my wallet though.

+ Trashy shows about rich people. i.e. Gossip Girl, Real Housewives of New Jersey, & Keeping with the Kardashians. Glamour and scandal to the excess is what gets my blood pumping. I'm probably the only person to watch the premiere of Gossip Girl last night ha.

OUT:
- Hair cuts. I desperately need one but I'm way too lazy to make an appointment.

- September rain. It's been raining cats and dogs in Vancouver. What else is new. But I'm finally thinking about getting rain boots even though it's a dreadful thought. I just think they are so ugly and childish. And who wants to be caught walking around in rain boots all day if the rain stops after a couple hours?

- My beauty set up area. It's so not functional right now. I've been thinking about investing in a vanity. But I have to find one I really love.

Ok that's it for now.....

Thanks for reading!

My Favorite Blushes!

So it has been a while since I've posted something of substantial content ...

But now I'm back and I feel like sharing my all time favorite blushes.

I don't actually own that much blush. I'm quite content with what I have. I keep all my cheek stuff in this bonus makeup bag:

Anyway out of my collection here my 5 faves... sorry that my picture quality isn't great :(

Nars Taj Mahal  |  Nars Orgasm
MAC Gingerly  |  MAC Style  |  Nyx Copper

Swatches:

Nyx Copper  |   Nars Taj Mahal  |   Nars Orgasm   |   MAC Gingerly   |   MAC Style

Nyx Copper : Is basically a shimmery copper blush. I love it because it is a blush, highlight and bronzer all in one package. It warms up your skin and adds a shimmery glow, just make sure you use a lighter hand. I swatched it here.

Nars Taj Mahal:  A gorgeous shimmery vibrant golden orange color. It is so pigmented you only need to touch your brush. If you have tan skin this is an absolute must have. I did a whole post obsessing over this blush here.

Nars Orgasm: I had to include this infamous blush in my top five because it's just that easy go to peachy pink blush that compliments the rest of your makeup without a thought. Orgasm has that golden shimmer laced through it too which I love. It is definitely suited to lighter skin tones because in the summer it hardly shows on my skin.

MAC Gingerly: I would describe this matte sheertone blush as a warm bronze reddish brown color (Don't be thrown off but it is the color of red clay). It's the Kim Kardashian blush! I picked it up in this haul. It's great because it is universally flattering for all skin tones. A lady at the MAC counter told me that it's a makeup artist's go to blush.

MAC Style:   I think this was the first blush I ever bought. I've since repurchased and hit pan ... again. Its a shimmery peach color, similar to Orgasm but brighter and peachier. It's just another easy go to blush that you don't have to think about.

So if you hadn't noticed I like shimmery peachy/orange blushes. I just can't be bothered with highlighting most days. And I don't have huge cheeks so I can get away with it :D

Gold Glitter French Manicure

I saw a lady on the bus with nails like this and I thought it looked so hot.

It's essentially a french manicure for divas who can't do nails because the application is so fool proof.

I love glitter <3

Bomb Ass Nails

water marble nail polish chanel peridot opi alpine snow

This is my first attempt at water marbling.

This manicure surprisingly lasts longer than the average. I made it a full week without a single chip! It better last with all the time and effort it takes:P
